Xbox players lose Microsoft Rewards app weekly streaks, Microsoft investigating

By Sean Carey,

Microsoft is investigating an issue with the Microsoft Rewards app on Xbox after players found that their weekly streaks for the Rewards Weekly Set task had been reset to zero.

Just as things were beginning to settle after weeks of turbulence, users are now experiencing another issue with the Microsoft Rewards app on Xbox consoles. With the new set of Microsoft Rewards tasks now live, users have begun reporting that their weekly streak progress for the Rewards Weekly Set task has been lost.

Numerous complaints have popped up on Reddit and Twitter about the issue, with some users saying that they've lost streaks of 180 weeks or more. While the Rewards app on Xbox has always been buggy, this problem appears to be somewhat widespread, with many wondering if their streak progress will be reinstated.

For completing the Rewards Weekly Set task, users are awarded 100 Microsoft Rewards Points, but if you keep ticking off the task each week, Microsoft does offer a fair amount of bonus Points depending on how long you can keep your streak, so you can understand why some users might be upset after logging in to find their progress had been reset zero.

According to Xbox loyalty marketing lead Daniel Martins, Microsoft is aware of the issue, and the team is currently investigating. Let's hope Microsoft can reestablish everyone's streaks soon.
