Star Wars Jedi: Survivor gameplay showcased in nine-minute video

By Tom West,

A recent video reveals nine minutes of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor gameplay, featuring Cal Kestis fighting numerous enemies after crash landing on the planet Koboh.

While Star Wars Jedi: Survivor was delayed out of March last week, and now won't launch on Xbox Series X|S until April 28th, a new nine-minute gameplay video has given us a closer look at Respawn's upcoming action game.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor gameplay

In the IGN First video above, we can see protagonist Cal Kestis fighting various enemies as he attempts to locate parts to fix his ship, The Mantis, after he crashes on the planet Koboh. Only combat — such as the new combat styles Kestis uses against his enemies — and some traversal mechanics are featured, so nothing more has been revealed about the story, but Kestis' actor, Cameron Monaghan, said last month that "the situation has never been worse than what it is for Cal" in Survivor.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is the sequel to Respawn's fantastic 2019 action game, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, which we think is one of the best Xbox action-adventure games. You can play Fallen Order via EA Play and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate now if you'd like to be up to speed with the story before this follow-up arrives... or just play through it again if you've already completed it.
