Your goal for The Oracle, like all other levels, is 25,000 points. The par time is 25:00. You'll want a multiplier, but you can still have a 2.00x at about 40 minutes, so no rush. For this guide, I was playing on heroic.

Set your scoring and HUD to competitive score, so you can keep track of time and score as you play. The time is already applied to the score, so once you go past 25 minutes, you'll notice the score start to drop. You should have enough points that this won't matter.

Getting kills without dying builds up your killstreak and earns you more points. Multikills also give you slightly more points.

    Skulls:

Anger - Enemies fire their weapons faster.

Catch - Enemies throw and drop more grenades. I noticed this also seemed to affect your grunt allies.

Famine - Weapons dropped by AI have half ammo.

    Fog - No motion tracker.

Iron - Dying resets the level. If you die, save and quit. Then resume to continue with points intact. Doing this will reset your killstreak, however, meaning you'll get less points per kill until you build it back up again!

Jacked - Can't enter ground vehicles except by boarding. There are no ground vehicles on this level.

That's Just...Wrong - Increased enemy awareness of player. Makes camo pretty much useless. You can probably keep this skull off. The times I died and wasted time could have been prevented with camo.

    TIPS:

-There's a trick to getting a lot of extra score. If you take out a flood intact, and let an infection form reanimate it, you can kill it again for more points. This can happen over and over for the same flood, as long as there are infection forms about.

-Stick with the carbine and energy sword. Use the carbine to score critical hits against flood (shoot them where the tentacles burst out of their chest. It's a one-hit-kill). Use the sword when the flood get too close. For sentinels, 3 shots is usually enough to take them out. Headshot all heretic grunts. Mostly use plasma grenades (they're EVERYWHERE) against heretic elites, or snipe them with the carbine if you can spare the ammo.

    - On the lift there's a little nook you can take cover in. It's on the part of the lift that moves back and forth, opposite of the door. You have to jump to get into the nook. I stayed here the entire ride and did not die. You have a good view of two locations that flood drop down on and you can easily 'headshot' them. Take out sentinels and flood with weapons first. The weaponless flood have a hard time meleeing you. Hop down and pick up carbine ammo when it's safe.

-IMPORTANT. The large room with two platforms in the middle will be where you get most of your points. It's the room after the hallway after the lift. Don't jump down at first. Eliminate everything you can. Remember to let infection forms reanimate corpses. Once everything is dead, hop down to trigger more enemy spawns. More heretic elites will show up. They're deadly, so stick 'em. Once they're gone, jump up onto the second level on the other side of the room, where the famine skull is on Legendary. There's a couple ways of doing this. This is not my video, but it shows one method of getting up there. You'll be mostly staying right where the skull would be, only thing you have to watch out for is flood spawning on that level. Snipe all of the flood, pop the carrier forms and let the little guys reanimate all the flood you killed. Repeat until there are no more infection forms and everything is dead.

-Kill everything before breaking each cable. More enemies spawn after breaking each one.

-The boss fight isn't too bad, just make sure you conserve some carbine ammo for this part and stick to cover.

-WATCH THE FINAL CUTSCENE. Sometimes skipping it will not unlock the achievement.

I was able to get 60k in 39 minutes. You can probably do this much faster if you don't die, or at least get frequent checkpoints. There's a lot of room for error.

    FINAL NOTE:
Unfortunately, the par score achievements in this game be can stubborn about unlocking. I've had to play through some levels twice. You may want to wait for a patch if you don't feel like repeating levels.

Wicked JeiHaha, of all the things I could forget to mention... I was on Heroic, but you MIGHT be able to get 25k on normal with this strategy because I ended up with way over par score. Updating guide now, sorry about that.

AstrArcturusThe Assassins skull makes all enemies camouflaged, I believe you meant the anger skull. :P

    Leave none Alive

Edit: 343 decided the achievements were too hard so they decreased all par scores based on peoples performances on the missions, and laughed at everyone including myself getting par scores of 25k + (half Halo 1, ALL Halo 2). If you haven't done any yet, congrats you get it much easier then the first people to attempt par scores. For this mission, you need 16,000 instead of 25,000, follow my method below and instead of Normal, im sure its possible on easy difficulty.

For this mission I felt any difficulty higher then normal was unneeded. I finished this mission with 47,000 points in 19:29 netting the par score and par time achievement. Follow my guide and you can do the same!

    Difficulty: Normal

Skulls: Anger, Catch, Famine, Fog, Jacked, Streaking, Thats Just... Wrong

Since streaking is on you will want to be extremely careful because unless all the enemies around you are dead and you have full shields you will not get any checkpoints. I ran through this level first try though without dying so don't worry, its easy especially if you follow my walk-through. If you do die, you will probably have to just start from beginning. A key thing to remember while doing this is kill quickly and run quickly to where you need to go. You will sword most enemies and ignore many others. There will be 2 slow parts, first is the lift in the beginning, then there is the flood infested room you cannot proceed forward right away, at these 2 points just kill everything you can and survive.

Use plasma rifle on flood for health/shield and when on the lift just plasma rifle sentinels sword flood as needed, and don't forget melee the containers on the lift for health/shield with your plasma rifle, those keep coming so you can have max shield the whole lift.

When you get to the flood infested room just keep killing flood and shoot the little ones with your plasma rifle if you need health. Also there are 2 swords with 100 ammo on the ground save 1 for when you are able to leave the room.

Once you get out of the room just kill the enemies as needed with your new sword. Do not worry about the ammo, try not to use it on the grunts though. When you get to the room where there heretic is running from you, you want to quickly go to the door he goes in and kill everything while going there.

After the cut scene grab a new plasma rifle from one of your allies (there should be a carbon or something on the ground to replace your current plasma rifle, and give your sword to the elite with a plasma rifle. Then take your carbon/other weapon and trade it with the sword on the white elite giving you a new sword and a new plasma rifle with full ammo and proceed forward.

Going up to the lift make sure to kill flood with your sword and sentinels with your plasma rifle. When you get to the top quickly cut the 3 cables starting with the one in the back (facing the buttons on the elevator) then the one to the left of the buttons, then the final one and grab the new sword on the ground (they are just everywhere waiting for you). Proceed back down.

While back tracking the previous level make sure to use your sword on any flood, kill grunts quickly (I threw plasma's) and if needed kill some carrier flood for health shooting all the little ones with your plasma rifle. When you get into the banshee don't even do anything but fly to the marker. Also watch out for any Plasma's while you are near explosive objects, that would be a disaster to have them blow up when you are next to them. While going to the final room make sure you have your shield up as much as possible because you will take a bit of damage in the final room, nothing compared to Heroic or legendary though.

Once you get to the heretic, if you need a new sword head left and there will be one on the ground. He is extremely easy, just slice him and his clones to pieces. It will take 2 hits with a sword to finish him.

Good luck and have fun toast

KennyannydennyGreat solution, but you could be a bit less cynical in the editted part. 25k is also very easy to get. They just made them ridiculously easy instead of simply easy.

Tozi TiberiusI swapped the streaking skull for iron on normal and got 22k.
